That's kewl. Thanx for being on the ball ^^
As one of the people who's account was walloped, it makes me smile to have somehow made somebody mad enough to react so childishness.

um, don't like to tell people to suck eggs. But have you consiered reverse proxing the site and throwing up snort and ethercap in the middle? Will make a positive identification of the culprit much easier. I'm always open to offers of work if you don't have time?

Sad to say MoonPhoenix. I didn't understand a word. I know a bit, but your prose hit the clouds for me.

I walked around Islington at lunchtime, with my nephew who didn't get a job after 3 months unpaid.
I showed him where Clive Anderson lives. Walter Sickert too
And we had a pint in about the last old man's boozer.Probably a haunt of George Orwell.

No, but looks interesting. Thanx for the suggestion.

I've played with BackTrack plenty of times but that is more for pen testing, than IDS.
Have always setup edge security manually myself.

I've recently discovered CloudFlare which both reverse proxy and IDS websites against known threats. Which after they're refusal to suspend or dox the Lulzsec guys using their service. Convinces me the company has the right philosophy to trust with my websites nobody cares about.

When is the site going to be renamed CE's blog or CE's facebook page?  It seems to have become a place to post mindless and unconnected drivel!

Presumably those subscribers, of which I am one, who would prefer that this forum should be for the discussion of matters relevant to Newbury and the surrounding area.

The clue is in the title - 'newbury.net'. It is not called ' expatriates-who-used-to-live-in-Newbury-and-now-live-in-London-with-too much-time-on-their-hands-and-need-to-get-a-life.net.

I care. I'd like to move back.
Like Boris Johnson, a near neighbour, when asked how much his house was worth.
"Shedloads".  So Looking around some areas of Newbury I could keep builders in business.
Such is life.

Ooh, had a bad day at work then?  Or is there another reason you are throwing your toys out of the pram?

Might be nothing much, but i have always liked the land of the lambourn valleys.
And the narrow lanes south.  I had a small motorbike. And was always passing Strangeways. or was it Stargroves!
