Shops did at one time stock things. By not stocking anything, they are leaving themselves wide open to having the customer poached by an online seller after they have do the hard work of demonstrating the item to the customer.

Hence why shops will slowly become just showrooms.

Indeed. Many shops will become showrooms perhaps charging for entry with money offered back if the customer buys from their preferred supplier.

A bit pointless if the buyer does not end up purchasing from the shop/showroom's online outlet....

I can see that being popular.  I wonder what WBC will do when their revenue cash cow of parking goes!!  Prepare to lose a few more staff!
