Newbury.net has been informed by a reliable source that Barclays Bank will be moving from the Market Place into the new Parkway Shopping Centre when it opens in the Autumn of 2011.

Although contracts have not been exchanged, newbury.net understands that solicitors have been instructed for units G32 and G33, a prominent position opposite Marks and Spencer on the junction of Marsh Lane with Middle Street.

Barclays Bank have been in the Market Place since their premises were rebuilt in the late sixties, and in older premises on the same site prior to that.

It is not known if they will keep their other branch in Northbrook Street, (formerly the Woolwich) or whether both sites will be amalgamated into the new unit.

HSBC planned ahead to avoid being on the 'wrong'side of the Northbrook St bridge & so have New Look & Debenhams.

I wonder how many more are going to jump ship?

See? that's a problem, if I wanted to read what Phil Rumens says or the rantings of ill informed xenophobic racists, or Tottenham supporters (sometimes all rolled into one) I'd join. But I read a few threads sometime ago and it took me a week with domestos and Brut to get rid of the smell of idiocy.

I assumed it was some sort of Cyber Cafe set up in a Special Needs unit...you know, people who didn't mind that the N.W.N censor or delete some topics when it gets too close to either them or WBC. The hottest topic in their mail bag this week was replies to Stansfelds letter about the CCTV. Did they publish any of them eh? Did they Buckfast Abbey...

But we heard the news here first didn't we?

Threep.

Fortunately, some of those don't post so readily any more.

It probably wasn't particularly high in their plans when they decide to build the Market Place monstrosity.

According to their forum's Admin, this isn't true:

And not for the first time I'd guess.

I wonder who started all this CCTV nonsense with similar supposed inside information?

Still trying to cover it up USER?

Some things never change!  Had it been untrue those at WBC would have shown evidence that all was working well. And of course they haven't because they can't!
