Newbury Town Council has recently completed refurbishment works on the Clock House at The Broadway, Newbury. Remedial works on the stonework, roof and timber sections were completed by local company R & D Builders and it was given an extensive clean by New Greenham Park based company Euromart Blasting. New oak seating has been installed and the wooden eaves have been painted with a protective black stain. Designs have been submitted and are being considered for signage inscriptions to be added in the future to the timber sections on the eaves. The Clock House is now looking beautifully clean and is restored to its full glory as one of Newbury’s most recognised and loved landmarks. Councillor Arthur Johnson, Chair of the Community Services Committee said, “The Clock House is now looking fantastic and completes the new look of the Broadway refurbishment”. Clock House has been a Newbury landmark in it's present form since 1929. |
