Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an altercation in Cheap Street, Newbury, on Monday 26th July.

At around 1.30am two men were arrested for fighting in Cheap Street Newbury.

Anyone that was in the area at the time of this incident and witnessed the fight should contact Case Investigator Sian Betteridge at Newbury police station, via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you do not wish to speak to police you can contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Following the incident, a 43-year-old man from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of affray and issued with a caution. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and bailed to return to Newbury police station on Wednesday 18 August.

Although arrests were made, police still need witnesses to come forward.
