Chaos...typically means a state lacking order or predictability. Confusion.... usually refers to loss of orientation
Both fairly good descriptive words that certainly bear no relationship to the mayhem and destruction post earthquake. Thanks for that advice on the use of the English language User.
Oh and by the way, I made no comment on the reasons that the road was to be closed.
Haiti is very much a state lacking order or predictability. |

Not quite sure why you always need to have the last word. I bet you're a wow in the pub. |

I notice he is quick to dismiss people's opinions as being exaggerated, yet he uses the same technique to promote his! It is obvious that Haiti would be in a state of chaos and confusion, but it need not take a major earthquake before the state of chaos and confusion ensues. |

I don't. Not including this thread you've had the "last word" on three threads to my one. http://www.newbury.net/forum/b-verbal/Seems to be a strange thing to highlight when you're three times more likely to do it than I. You're probably just getting personal to try and divert attention away from the debate as a few others seem to do too. |

Again, criticise someone for something you do yourself! |

The Walton way round is not too clever this evening with residents parking opposite sides of the road. It's a bit of a chicane at the best of times but with the extra traffic flow not easy getting through. |

Keeps traffic speeds low though dunnit....?
Important question: Was there 'chaos and confusion'? |

Probably none this week as it is half term. Not that the work should not go ahead anyway. |

At the 2 mini roundabouts in Shaw it states access to the Cock Public house and the shop. At the Robin Hood junction it says the same. Easy just drive through as normal with due care and attention and there is no problem. |

If you did that on a driving test, would you pass? |

The Elf and safety guys will get you if you mow down one of the operatives taking your short cut down a closed road. I suspect that you won't be able to do that much longer. |

We have been told that at various times there will be no access at all to our houses. Haven't informed us when yet. |

The examiner tells you which road he wants you to take so if he says go left, one must assume that you would go left but then stop and advise him of his error. What say you Brian N. |
